Carman Moore

Carman Moore is a composer whose music includes his upbringing in black culture, his classical training and his voracious curiosity. His adventurous spirit led him to explorations and collaborations in InterMedia. He is an original member of the Experimental Intermedia Foundation. Elaine invited Carman to compose the original score for SKYTIME /SKYDANCE for its premiere performances at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in June of 1984.

"...this new work is a fascinating blend of modern-jazz improvisation, tone clusters a la Cowell, poly-rhythmic and polytonal clashes a la Ives, and motifs which reflect Moore's own Afro-American heritage. "
Bruce Saylor, High Fidelity Magazine
